The Biography of Pete Berardi

I was born in January of 1970 to James and Diane Berardi in Chicago, Illinois. Both my parents are from Italy and
arrived in America circa 1945. They were married in 1958 and I am their first born child. My only sibling, Livia, is two years
younger and resides in Vernon Hills with her husband Scott. I attended Catholic grammar school for eight years. Under strict
discipline I learned the importance of respecting authority. I graduated from Lake Park High School located in Roselle, IL in 1988. I attended a local Community College for two years before leaving home for Northern Illinois University. I majored in Economics and learned for the first time what it feels like to be part of a large community. My first aspirations involved
Wall Street. I obtained my Economics degree and sought my fortune upon graduation in December 1992. I was hired as a sales
representative for Lanier Worldwide in their dictation division. I spent three years in office product sales before moving to
California to pursue other interests. While in California I lived simply and soon found the love of Jesus. Jesus and his Word
became my passion, my purpose for living and was for many years the center of my life. I studied the Bible fervently, attended
many church services and was involved with a Christ-based homeless shelter for fourteen months. Jesus is still the center of my life and I seek daily to give him glory using the talents that he has blessed me with. My passion today is learning, writing and helping people all in the name of Jesus. I now attend Colorado Technical University Online in pursuit of a B.S. in Software Engineering. My graduation date is 2/10/09 and I plan to continue to attend school and develop a software application that will bring God's Word to the masses utilizing my knowledge.
